"Žalia giria" spring water is extracted from borehole No. 31099, located in the watering place at Liepkalnio st. 148, in Vilnius.
The water body has a sanitary protection zone (SAZ) established in accordance with the requirements of the description of the procedure for determining the protection zones of underground water bodies and approved by LGT, which consists of three zones: the first - strict regime; the second - limitation of microbial pollution; the third - limitation of chemical pollution.
The depth of the borehole is 200 meters from the surface of the earth.
The well was installed in the Upper Silurian Neries Formation aquifer.
"Žalia giria" spring water is composed of calcium magnesium hydrocarbonate, weakly alkaline (pH 7.2-7.9).
Description of the water preparation process - "Zalia giria" spring water is prepared by oxidizing iron dissolved in well water with ozone-enriched air and then filtering the water. In this way, without changing the composition of the main components of water, iron and manganese compounds and mechanical impurities are removed.
